Welcome to BlueGreen Gifts

Your Choice…

Your life is the sum of all your choices but when you make the choice of a BlueGreen Gift your choice immediately adds positively to the sum of the lives of others.

When it comes to choosing gifts, they more often than not come with a hidden price tag. We do not see their cost and impact on the planet and on the lives of people whose daily labor goes into providing our comforts and necessities.

Making the choice of a high quality BlueGreen Gift directly supports micro-enterprises and social entrepreneurs in India, Africa and other countries and enables them to duplicate their business model into other local communities to benefit and enrich the lives of more.

BlueGreen Gifts and Baskets are thoughtfully put together to uniquely reflect the nature of the occasion or celebration…a new baby, a new home, a birthday, an anniversary, a job promotion, an accomplishment etc.  and provide a larger marketplace and awareness for the products and projects of:

The Blessing Basket Project whose mission is to reduce poverty in developing countries by paying Prosperity Wages® for artisan products. This unique financial model creates a cycle of entrepreneur driven growth resulting in permanent financial independence for the artisan.

Village of Namtenga, Burkina Faso, Africa supported by Cranbrook Kingswood School, MI with Clean Water and Education Projects. In 2005, The Cranbrook Kingswood Weaving Studio initiated a project to build a sister weaving studio in Namtenga, Burkina Faso, Africa, called Namtenga Soundo Babisi. Since then Namtenga Soundo Babisi has also benefited fom additional education opportunities, including business management, health, family planning and agriculture. Recently the women diversified by beginning a soap making enterprise.

Panchachuli Women Weavers
is a development program, which facilitates economic and social independence for women in the Indian Himalayas using the traditional arts of weaving and knitting. The project has given the women an alternative way of earning their living and has contributed significantly to the structural development of the Kumaon region.

The ten day, each way journey to reach the source of the wool takes the women through the 22,000 feet high mountain passes into the vast Tibetan plateaus. The proceeds of the weavings have established, "The Dena Hospital", a 5,000 square-foot facility to provide excellent medical care at subsidized rates.

BlueGreen Gifts and Baskets also include books which integrate contemplative awareness into contemporary life in order to help create a more just, compassionate, reflective, and sustainable society.
